Hey Cosmo-D’s from outer space, jam on this:
We want your session notes! Please register and add them.
Thanks to Tom Taylor for setting it up!
We’ve been asking “will you be here” but haven’t done the best job of saying where “here” is.
We’ve gone and added some map links and relevant location notes about the website and on the schedule but here’s the condensed set:
The hotel can be found at 17th and Locust (map).
Tavern 17, for Thursday’s Happy Hour, is actually IN the hotel’s restaurant on the 1st floor.
Triumph Brewery, for the Thursday evening party, is at 2nd and Chestnut (map)
The Philadelphia Art Museum, for the Rocky Steps run (map)
National Mechanics, for the wrap-up party, is at 3rd and Market (map)
Hope this helps you plan your way around the city!
Many thanks to Colin Devroe from Viddler (who will be at the event, liveblogging) for the cue to gather up this info in one place!

For those of you coming in on mass transit, you’re going to likely want to grab a Taxi Cab. For those unfamiliar with the city, if you’re coming in from the airport there is a $26.25 flat rate fare available into center city. If you’re coming in via Amtrak’s 30th Street Station, cabs are $2.70 at the meter drop and based on mileage from there. From 30th street to the Radisson Warwick you should expect a $6-7 fare or so, not including tip.
For your convenience, we’re providing phone numbers for major taxi companies here in Philadelphia so that you can keep them on hand for when you need to get around.
Olde City: 215-708-8888
All City: 215-467-6666

I’ll send out this mini-directory via the SMS feed as well so you can keep it handy during your stay. What’s that? You haven’t subscribed to the SMS updates? Get to it!

Thanks to final frenzy to register for BlogPhiladelphia, we are filled to capacity. Registration is officially closed! See you all on Thursday.
Hope you’re gearing up for a spectacular 4th of July. Philly is teeming with an influx of tourists and area residents taking in the rich history and spirited atmosphere for the holiday.
Your BlogPhiladelphia team continues to work as the “unconference” approaches - just a week away!
We’ll be adding some sessions at the end of this week - so just be aware that the schedule will expand from what is currently posted.
Thanks to everyone both in Philly and beyond who’ve helped spread the word about BlogPhiladelphia via your blogs, podcasts, vlogs, online and mobile social networks, microblogging, virtual communities, avatars, IM, EVDO and more! Your WOM support and participation is making this a must-attend social media event.
Also, the venue is wifi’ed, so please, bring your laptops/webcams/podcasting equipment. We encourage everyone to liveblog the event - these liveblog reports will be critical to spreading the information shared and learned at BlogPhiladelphia beyond those of us attending.
There will be a sheet for liveblogging volunteers to sign at check-in. During and after the unconference, we’ll send an email to everyone registered/attending with a list of blogs featuring coverage of the event and we’ll link you here on the official site for those out of market who can’t come.
Oh - and we’ll be emailing the schedule and event details to all registered attendees prior to the event. Expect an email soon!
Hey everyone,
If you didn’t catch our twitter on Friday or see for yourself, the schedule is now up. Please check it out and start planning your itinerary!
Registration is close to maximum capacity. We ask that everyone who signed up to please make sure you are attending! Space is limited and we want to accommodate as many interested folks as possible. If you have signed up and for some reason will not be able to attend, please email me at annie[at]gptmc.com to let me know and we will make your spot available.
Thanks everyone! See you next week!
Hey everyone:
I know a lot of you have been asking to see the schedule of sessions for BlogPhiladelphia and we’re happy to tell that you that we *just* finalized it. We’re planning to upload it to the site tomorrow, so check back then.
The full itinerary, detailing the parties (the parties, the parties, everyone wants to know about the parties!) and evening events, will be emailed to all registrants prior to the “unconference.”
Hope you’re excited as we are - the countdown for BlogPhiladelphia has begun! Are you ready? It’s going to awesome.
See you there…
Will BlogPhiladelphia be your first time to our city, or are you qualified to be a tour guide? Will it be your first “un”-conference, or are you a seasoned conference goer? Either way, you’re best bet to get the most out of BlogPhiladelphia is to know what’s going on all the time, no matter where you are.
Now, that’s easier than ever. If you’ve got a cell phone, you can text BLOGPHILLY to 41411 and you will be automatically subscribed to SMS updates leading up to and during the conference. What will these updates include? Anything from insider tips as to where your favorite blog-rebrity is to reminders about sessions and events announcing the best drink special or party for the evening social events. Be aware that standard text messaging rates apply and while we won’t SLAM you with messages we also aren’t responsible if your plan charges you per message.
Again, all you have to do is text BLOGPHILLY to 41411. We’ll take care of the rest.
