Taxi Cabs in Philadelphia

Posted @ 10 July 2007 @ 10am by Alex Hillman

For those of you coming in on mass transit, you’re going to likely want to grab a Taxi Cab. For those unfamiliar with the city, if you’re coming in from the airport there is a $26.25 flat rate fare available into center city. If you’re coming in via Amtrak’s 30th Street Station, cabs are $2.70 at the meter drop and based on mileage from there. From 30th street to the Radisson Warwick you should expect a $6-7 fare or so, not including tip.

For your convenience, we’re providing phone numbers for major taxi companies here in Philadelphia so that you can keep them on hand for when you need to get around.

Lady Liberty Shuttle is also a great deal from the airport. It’s a shared ride with door to door service. Lady Liberty is $10 to your hotel or $10-12 to Center City residences.

When you arrive at the airport, call Lady Liberty from the transportation desk near baggage claim and the shuttle typically arrives in less than 5-10 minutes. You can also schedule the shuttle ahead for your return to the airport.

NOTE: SEPTA’S R1 airport line goes to Suburban Station, just a few blocks from the conference.

It’s cheaper than shuttles or cabs and way more pleasant.

Is it possible for you to change the Phone number that you listed for Olde City Taxi. That number is for our corporate customers paying with a voucher. The correct number should be 215-708-8888.

Thanks again,
